PURPOSE: To perform sufficient sterilization by providing a means, which separates a cover sheet by sheet by forming a steam atmosphere in a sterilizing region, and providing a means which separates a cover sheet by sheet from a staying region, in a cooling area, by providing the staying region of diameter a little larger than that of the cover between the sterilizing region and the cooling region.
CONSTITUTION: A cover (a) is supplied in an accumulated condition from a supply port 5 through a guide bar 25 and dropped down with an equal space separated by drop feed screws 13a to c. The cover (a) is heated in its obverse and reverse by steam supplied from a steam inlet 10 to increase a temperature, and most of the steam is discharged from a steam outlet 11 because a passage of a cooling region Z3 is shut off by the cover (a) and partitioning plates 22, 23. The cover (a) of increasing the temperature is accumulated in the next staying region Z2 to keep a high temperature in this region with sterilizing action continued. Next, the cover (a) is guided to the cooling region Z3, separated to a predetermined space by drop feed screws 14a to C, dried by dry air from an air inlet 19, cooled and dropped down to a discharge lower port 8. Air is almost discharged from an air outlet 20 because of the staying region Z2 shielded by the cover (a) and the partitioning plates 22, 23.
