This cover structure of the electronic equipment is composed of an upper case 2 and a lower case 6 and provided with an authentication function based on personal identification numbers and biological collation from an input part 13 of ten-key and 5-key buttons for inputting the personal identification numbers and a biological sensor of fingerprints, veins, or the like, and has the cover 4 at the upper case turnably around a turning shaft 14 provided at the upper case to hide the input part. The cover is provided with a space 15 in the longitudinal direction of an axis of the turning shaft. A spring 1 for putting the cover into the open state when releasing lock performed by a claw 16 for locking the cover into the closed state, and the damper 10 for gradually slowing down the operation of the open state performed by the spring, are arranged in the space.
