Abstract:

To provide the cover structure for a general-purpose liquid cooled engine ensuring a sufficient noise-proof effect.

A general-purpose liquid-cooled engine 10 delivers a coolant cooling an engine body 14 to a radiator and delivers a cooling air to the radiator 16 by use of a cooling fan 38 to cool the coolant. The cover structure 20 of the general-purpose liquid-cooled engine covers the engine body 14 and the radiator 16 and is provided with: an engine cover 21 configured so as to allow the cooling air to be delivered to the radiator 16; a muffler cover 23 covering a muffler 61 disposed adjacently to the external surface of the engine cover 21; and an exterior cover covering an entire engine 12 including the engine cover 21 and the muffler cover 23.
