Title:
COVER STRUCTURE FOR SHAFT COUPLING IN SMALL SURFACE CRAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3961917
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover structure for a shaft coupling in a small surface craft which can be easily dismounted and remounted even in a narrow work space.
SOLUTION: An engine 17 is disposed at a center of a hull, a water jet propeller 18 is disposed at the stern, and a propeller shaft 33 of the water jet propeller is connected to a crank shaft end 31 of the engine by the shaft coupling 32. The shaft coupling, the crank shaft end, and the propelling shaft are covered with a cover in the surface craft on their upper side, right side, and left side. The cover 22 is composed of a first cover 35 detachably mounted on the engine or the hull, and the second cover 36 detachably installed on the first cover to cover the shaft coupling and the propeller shaft. Dismounting size is that of the second cover only. Dismounting and remounting work can thus be easily conducted even in a narrow space.
