The covered metal wire separation and collection device comprises a covered metal wire feed means 30 to feed a covered metal wire comprising one to a plurality of metal wires and a flexible cover to cover the metal wire, a covered metal wire pressing means 40 to pass and press the covered metal wire W fed by the covered metal wire feed means 30 between a pair of press rollers 41a and 42a, a guide means 50 to guide the covered metal wire W before and behind the press rollers 41a and 42a, a separation means 60 to separate the covered metal wire W which is passed through the pair of press rollers 41a and 42a with the broken cover into the metal wire and the cover, and a winding means 70 to respectively wind the metal wire and the cover separated by the separation means 60.
