PURPOSE: To smoothly cover pieces of bean curd moving on a conveyor, by using a feeder, conveying device, holder, pushing back device and covering device.

CONSTITUTION: Pieces of bean curd 2 are placed and transferred on a conveyor 1 continuously moving from a water bath and a pack 7 is pushed down by a pushing out metal fixture at the tip of a rod of an air cylinder 4 of a covering device 3 by a command of a sensor 8 to cover the bean curd 2 with the pack. A pushing back device 9 eliminates mutual entanglement of pack edge parts and holder 14 holds both edges in front and back of the pack 7 with an opening part down. A conveying device 22 receives the pack with the opening part up from a feeder 25 and turns over the opening part downward until the pack reaches the lower part.
