PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering material capable of improving workability of operation of pulling out a core material (a material provisionally buried) such as an H-beam.
SOLUTION: A material to be provisionally buried is covered with a covering material formed of a sheet base material on the surface of which a resin layer containing an alkaline water-soluble resin, preferably a resin layer containing the alkaline water-soluble resin and a water absorbing material such as a water swelling resin has been formed. As one example of the covering method there can be mentioned a method which comprises fixing a rope 3 through a pulley 5 disposed at the end of a crane 6 in a covering material 1 while hoisting a material 2 to be provisionally buried by the crane 6, subsequently inserting the material 2 to be provisionally buried into the covering material 1 formed in the shape of a bag or a cylinder such that the material 2 is allowed to get into the covering material 1 from the bottom by pulling the rope 3 by, e.g. an operator 4 and then, lifting the covering material 1 by further pulling the rope 3 by the operator 4 to fit and fix it to the material 2.
