PURPOSE: To constitute the title method so that sealed state of both ends of a covering heat- shrinkable material in a tubular or sheetlike state is perfect and, moreover, a connecting part is penetrated easily through the material, by a method wherein the connecting part is covered with a reinforcement component deforming elastically and the heat-shrinkable material in the tubular or sheetlike state positioning on the outside of the reinforcement component, which are made to heat and shrink.
CONSTITUTION: A covering material is so constituted that a reinforcement component 2 forming a spiral state along a circumferential direction of a heat-shrinkable material 1 is provided on the inside of the heat-shrinkable material 1 excluding both ends of the same forming a tubular state. After registration has been performed so that a connecting part 5 is penetrated through the covering material, the outside of the connecting part 5 is covered by the reinforcement component 2 and components 6 of both sides of the connecting part 5 is covered by both the ends of the heat-shrinkable material 1, the heat-shrinkable material 1 is heated. In this instance, a part of the heat-shrinkable material 1 other than both the ends of the same is shirnked so that the same adheres to the reinforcement component 2 along its outside, molded into a bellowslike state having spiral unevenness, both the ends are shrinked down to the outside diameter of both side components 6, a bonding layer 4 adheres close to the outside of both the side components 6 and a space part S sealed up between the connecting part 5 and reinforcement component 2 is formed. With this construction, sealing properties of the connecting part is improved and fitting to the connecting part becomes easy.
