A covering plate is formed by connecting a plurality of H-beams with the same cross-sectional shape to each other aligned in the height and longitudinal directions of their flange outer surfaces. Stripe-shaped protrusions are formed in one direction on the flange outer surface of the H-beam. According to necessity, the covering plate is configured only by the H-beams having the flange outer surfaces on which the stripe-shaped protrusions are formed in the longitudinal direction, or is configured by alternately connecting the H-beams having the flange outer surfaces on which the stripe-shaped protrusions are formed in the longitudinal direction and the H-beams having the flange outer surfaces on which the stripe-shaped protrusions are formed in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Each of the stripe-shaped protrusions on the flange outer surface of the H-beam has a height of 1.0 mm or more and a ratio of protrusion height to the protrusion interval in the range of 0.07 to 0.2.
