PURPOSE: To prevent entrance of rainwater into a hood ledge reinforcement and improve collision resisting properties, by covering a draining recess with a cover plate mounted to the lower part of the hood ledge reinforcement.

CONSTITUTION: An end part 23, on a front fender panel 16 side, of a cover plate 21 is bent downward to form a turned-downward bent part 24, and thus, an opening 25 of a tunnel 22 is not positioned facing an inner surface 17 of the front fender panel 16 but turned downward. If, in the bent part 24, the opening 25 of the tunnel 22 is located facing the inner surface 17 of the front fender panel 16, in case undercoating is made by an electrodeposition painting, an electrodeposition liquid gathering in a cowl part 1 flies directly to the inner surface 17 of the front fender panel 16 through the opening 25, and a coating film is hardly formed. Therefore, the opening 25 is turned downward, and this improves coating of the electrodeposition liquid on the inner surface 17 of the front fender panel 16.
