PURPOSE: To provide a cracker for maidenhair tree nuts by which shells of maidenhair tree nuts of not only a small grain but a large grain can be surely cracked.

CONSTITUTION: Neck parts 5 and 6 of a left and a right handle 3 and 4 wherein semi-cylindrical maidenhair tree nut cracking bodies 1 and 2 are respectively provided on each apex part under facing condition are crossed each other and fixed on a shaft and a spring 7 is provided on these left and right handles 3 and 4 to keep them under a condition where the maidenhair tree nut cracking bodies l and 2 always tend to extend. Then, when the facing distance of the maidenhair tree nut cracking bodies 1 and 2 is made to its min. distance by grasping the left and right handles 3 and 4, the left and right maidenhair tree nut cracking bodies 1 and 2 are provided in a fan-shape in such a way that the gap L at the apex part is restricted to a distance for cracking a small maidenhair tree nut and the gap L' at the lower part is restricted to a distance for cracking a large maidenhalr tree nut.
