PURPOSE: To provide a crane type device for ship alongside pier which is designed to reduce rolling and pitching and of a trim heel change of a ship owing to wind, waves, and movement of cargos as much as possible and perform high speed handling of a large quantity of cargoes without being influenced by the magnitude of a ship breath and the length of a ship coming alongside a pier.

CONSTITUTION: In piers on both sides where a ship is introduced between piers on both sides and caused to come alongside a pier, a crane type device for ship coming alongside pier comprises a pair of right and left parallel rails 4 installed on respective piers and extended along a pier line; and paired right and left front cranes 2 and paired right and left rear cranes 2 movable along the parallel rails 4 on the piers and individually laterally moving and elevating the right side and the port side of the front and the rear of the ship. Further, as shown in a figure, paired front cranes and paired rear cranes respectively movable along a pair of right and left parallel rails installed on a pier on one side and extended along a pier line and individually laterally moving and elevating the right side and the port side of the front and those of the rear of the ship coming alongside a pier.
