Abstract:
To allow a significant offset required from a request for fuel economy in a crank mechanism of an internal combustion engine.
In an offset crank mechanism, an external shape of a connecting rod 10 is bent in an almost V shape. The external shape of the connecting rod 10 may be bent as a whole, and one side (a side surface faced to the offset side) may be only bent in a recessed shape by making a side surface shape different on the respective sides. Such a V-shaped rod 10 can also be applied to a V-type multicylinder engine.
