To provide a crank shaft forming press which is compact in structure, and is high in designing latitude for ensuring piping space and maintainability, and in which the structure of its upper portion can be made compact.
The press seams or opens a twist die for forming a crank shaft by the elevating/lowering operation, and performs the twist-down or twist-return by a twist cylinder 20. A frame of the press comprises a bed 1, four uprights 2 erected from front and rear parts and right and left parts on the bed 1, and a beam 5 to connect upper ends of the right upright and the left upright. Two main cylinders 6 to elevate/lower the slide 4 are used, and each main cylinder 6 is mounted between the two left uprights 2 and the slide 4, and between the two right uprights 2 and the slide 4, respectively. The twist cylinder 20 is mounted on a center of an upper face of the slide 4.
