Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a crank shaft supporting device of an engine for reducing a weight while ensuring rigidity, and for suppressing noise properly.
CONSTITUTION: In the crank shaft supporting device of an engine provided with each main bearing part 6 of a cylinder block 1 having a plurality of cylinders 2, a plurality of crank caps 8 for rotatably supporting a crank shaft 7 between respective main bearing parts 6, and a beam far connecting respective crank caps 8 to each other in form of a beam, rigidity of the beam 9 part is changed according to the position of the cylinder 2.
