Abstract:

To provide a crank shaft capable of sufficiently reducing unbalance couple generated in a V-type six-cylinder engine.

This crank shaft 1 of the V-type six-cylinder engine comprises first-sixth crank pins P1-P6, first-forth crank journals J1-J4, and first-ninth arms A1-A9 connecting them to each other. Excess weight part (including counter weight) X3, X7 of the third arm A3 and the seventh arm A7 among the first-ninth arms A1-A9 are constituted so that their centers of gravity G3 and G7 are respectively positioned in approximately opposite directions of the first crank pin P1 and the sixth crank pin P6.
