Abstract:

To provide a crankcase capable of suitably suppressing the accumulation of foreign matters between a pulley and a flange.

Outside a crankcase 10, a pulley 11 for driving an oil pump 13 and a belt 14 wound on the pulley 11 are provided. A flange 20 formed on wall faces 10a, 10b of the crankcase 10 is located below the pulley 11 in the vertical direction. On a site of the flange 20 opposite to the pulley 11, a sloping face 22 is formed which slopes down in the vertical direction toward outer peripheral edges 20a, 20b.
