Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crankshaft bearing device reducing slide friction loss of a bearing surface while suppressing pressure loss due to oil film of a thrust bearing.SOLUTION: A bearing device is provided with a thrust bearing on both side surfaces of a bearing support part supporting a journal of a crankshaft. The thrust bearing includes: a half-split annular bearing surface; and a plurality of oil grooves formed so as to cross the bearing surface from its inner peripheral side to its outer peripheral side. The thrust bearing includes: a first thrust bearing disposed on a side surface facing the side of a transmission; and a second thrust bearing disposed on a side surface facing a side opposite to the transmission. The first thrust bearing is structured so that the bearing surfaces among the plurality of oil grooves include a tapered surfaces formed so that the wall thickness becomes thicker toward a crankshaft rotating direction. The second thrust bearing is structured so that the bearing surfaces among the plurality of oil grooves are formed of flat surfaces whose wall thickness is constant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
