Abstract:

To provide a crankshaft support structure having a needle roller bearing capable of restraining axial movements of a retainer even though an outer ring has no flange.

The crankshaft support structure comprises a crankshaft 31 having a shaft section 32 and a crank arm 33 located on both ends of the shaft section 32, and a needle roller bearing 41 rotatably supporting the shaft section 32 of the crankshaft 31. The needle roller bearing 41 comprises an outer ring 42, a plurality of needle rollers 43 rotatably arranged on a raceway surface of the outer ring 42, and a retainer 44 which protrudes both ends from an end of the outer ring 42 and brings into contact with the crank arm 33. The needle roller bearing 41 is fixed on an engine block 34 by a fixing pin 35.
