To solve the problems in conventional guard rails wherein (1) they merely absorb and disperse collision energy by the rupture of the guard rail and a vehicle in the collision thereof with the vehicle and (2) frequently cause dead and injury accidents since the protection effect of the guard rails is not sufficient in the entry of a violently running vehicle into pedestrians, entry of a vehicle into a facing lane, and collision thereof with signal lamps, street lights, telegram columns, street trees, and posts of highways in order to risks on roads which daily fall on all peoples and produce unavoidable risks and fear.
The direction of the vehicle is corrected while relieving the collision energy of the violently running vehicle by the guard rail in which a crawler-like or conveyor belt-like device or equipment having racing or rotating resistance is incorporated. Consequently, the safety of occupants can be improved to prevent a secondary accident such as rear-collision.
