PURPOSE: To improve flexibility of process organization of a line by winding a crawler in a condition of truck frame subassembly, and eliminating necessity for building an engine in a step before the crawler winding, in the case of a device for winding a crawler shoe on a crawler vehicle in the line of a plant.
CONSTITUTION: After a crawler shoe 10 is placed in right/left crawler winding positions, a truck frame 1 is carried in by a conveyer and mounted to a position aside to a front end part on the crawler shoe 10. Next, right/left front stoppers 4, housed under a floor surface, are protruded on the floor surface to lift partly a front of the crawler shoe 10 along a front sprocket 14. Then, after a hanging metal fixture of an overhead crane 7 is hooked to a rear end part of the crawler shoe 10, a rear stopper 3 is protruded on the floor surface to lift a rear end of the crawler shoe 10 on the floor surface thereafter to move the overhead crane 7 upward in a front side. Thereafter, the crawler shoe 10 is extended by a traction winch 5, and after looseness is removed, the crawler shoe 10 is endlessly connected to complete mounting work.
