Title:
CREASING PROCESS FOR FABRIC AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1018175
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To facilitate the quality control of fabrics such as crease size and crease firmness through such a process that a fabric is twisted in one direction while spraying steam on the fabric under a specified tension followed by twisting the fabric in the reverse direction to easily conduct a creasing process so as to impart the fabric with numerous small creases.

A fabric 6 under a tension by a tension roller 1 is delivered, via an introduction guide 2, feed roller 3a, steam pipe 4a, twister 5a, steam pipe 4b and twister 5b, through a feed roller 3b. During the above process, the fabric is sprayed with steam by the respective steam pipe 4a, 4b, twisted undirectionally by the twister 5a and then twisted again in the reverse direction by the twister 5b so as to get twistless, resulting in crease setting. The steam is fed, via a valve 7a and a valve 7b, into the pipe 4a and the pipe 4b, respectively.
