To provide a method for creating seaweed beds in the sea, capable of creating good seaweed beds, capable of stably breeding fish and shellfish, and suitable for fishery operations as well by paying attention to formation concerning the configuration a structure for creating seaweed beds and by devising the formation of the configuration.

This seaweed bed comprises (1) forming plural groups composed of structures 7 and 8 for creating seaweed beds in the sea, prepared by plural structural elements 11 for creating seaweed bed planted with seeds and saplings of seaweed at an interval between each other; (2) forming fishery area 9 capable of being cast by a fishing net between seaweed beds formed by the structures 7 and 8; (3) arranging pillar structures in plural rows in a state nearly perpendicular to the direction of an ocean current and nearly parallel to each other, in which pillars erecting from a foundation bed are planted with seeds and saplings of seaweed.
