Title:
CREPED HIGH-DENSITY WOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04126839
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the title woven fabric having excellent waterproof properties and air permeability and suitable for clothing, bag, umbrella, etc., by forming a fibril bundle having specific fineness into weft and combining the fibril bundle with a spun yarn and forming irregular crepe by difference of shrinkage.

CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyamide such as nylon 6 and (B) polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate are conjugated into side by side type filament and the filament is used as a weft. On the other hand, the resultant filament is doubled with (C) spun yarn such as cotton yarn to afford a combined yarn and the combined yarn is used as warp and the above-mentioned weft and warp are woven and then the woven fabric is treated with a fibrillating agent (e.g. aqueous solution of acetic acid) to split the conjugate filament and then subjected to heat treatment with seam at 70-120°C to provide the aimed woven fabric being ≤0.5 denier in average single fiber fineness of filament.
