Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crevice corrosion testing method and a crevice corrosion testing device capable of evaluating a temporal change of a corrosion damage level due to a crevice corrosion such as a depth, a mass, or a form of the crevice corrosion.SOLUTION: A rod 1 for crevice corrosion observation is fitted from one side surface 2a of a testing tank 2. Inside the testing tank 2, a crevice part is formed between one end 1a of the rod 1 for crevice corrosion observation and a metal sample 5. Outside the testing tank 2, crevice corrosion observation means 7 is provided. The rod 1 for crevice corrosion observation penetrates a counter electrode 11 installed in the testing tank 2 while facing the metal sample 5. The counter electrode 11 and the metal sample 5 are preferably connected to potential control measurement means provided outside of the testing tank 2. Through the rod 1 for crevice corrosion observation, there is provided a crevice corrosion testing method for measuring an area of the crevice corrosion part, which may be combined with an electrochemical measurement.
