Abstract:
To provide an occupant detection device and the like that do not need computation processing of a frequency analysis and the like in a moving body, secure occupant detection accuracy even with a device configuration made simple, and can detect occupants in short time.SOLUTION: An occupant detection device includes: a comparison analysis unit that determines a reflection time determination value for determining whether an occupant is seated on a seat based on a reflection time until a reflection wave from a reflection body is received since a transmitted radio wave is transmitted, in which there is a case where the reflection body is the occupant to be seated on the seat, or a detected reflection body to be installed in the seat, and there is a case where the reflection body is provided in the seat, or adjacent to the seat; and a detection determination unit that, when the reflection time until the reflection wave from the reflection body is received since the transmitted radio wave is transmitted is smaller than the reflection time determination value, determines that the occupant is seated on the seat, and, when the reflection time until the reflection wave from the reflection body is received since the transmitted radio wave is transmitted is larger than the reflection time determination value, determines that the occupant is not seated on the seat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
