Abstract:
To provide a manually operated compression or crimp tool which is improved from the viewpoint of force relationship, operation comfortability and operation reliability .SOLUTION: An elastic device 35 can be configured as, for example, a U-shaped leaf spring 36. At an equilibrium position 48, the leaf spring 36 is captured between stoppers 49, 50. When a compression or crimp tool 1 is moved from the equilibrium position 48 to a closed position, energization of the leaf spring 36 is performed by an entrainer 54, whereby the leaf spring 36 creates an opening force. On the contrary, an opening motion of the compression or crimp tool 1 from the equilibrium position 48 causes an entrainer 55 to energize the leaf spring 36, whereby the leaf spring can create a closing force. The compression or crimp tool 1 arrives at the closing position, thereby automatically releasing the spring, and further, ensuring that a work-piece loaded in the compression or crimp tool 1 is fastened and secured by the closing force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
