Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a crimping tool capable of positively displaying without error that the performance of the tool is degraded, and the inspection and/or maintenance is needed, and its method.
CONSTITUTION: A crimping tool 10 is provided with a pair of handles 12, 14, a jaw-shaped member 34 for crimping, a die, and/or an insert die which is arranged on one end of the handle, positioned in a mutually arranged state, and receives a connector therebetween, and a connection mechanism 16 which is expanded between the handles, connects the handles, and pivotably moves one handle to the other handle, and biases the jaw-shaped member, the die and/or the insert die. A spring 86 is arranged between the handles 12, 14. The spring 86 is provided with the breaking region, and is arranged at the position where the spring is deflected in each operation cycle. The breaking region is broken after the prescribed number of cycles, and positively displays that the tool needs the inspection and/or maintenance to a user.
