PURPOSE: To facilitate manufacture by forming each hook part at both the edge parts of a blade, inserting the hook part into a slit, and carrying out fixation throtugh the bending of the hook part, as for a cylindrical blower which is supported by inserting a blade into the slit, between the left and right side plates having the slits on the periphery.

CONSTITUTION: As for a cross flow blower 8 which is constituted by connecting a plurality of cylindrical blowers 9 in the axial direction, each blower 9 is constituted of a pair of side plates 7 each of which consists of a disc having an inner hole 10 at the center and has arcuate slits 11,... drilled at a prescribed intervals on the outer periphery and a plurality of blades 12 arranged between both the side plates 7 and 7. On each blade 12, each arcuate hook part 13 having the smaller width than the total width of the blade 12 is projectingly installed at both the edges, and after the hook part 13 is inserted into the slit 11 formed on the side plate 7, the hook 13 is fixed by bending the projecting edge part. A plurality of blowers 9 are connected by the rivet caulking method, or the mutual caulking between the outer or inner peripheries of the contiguous side plates 7, etc.
