Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross head bearing in which friction loss can be effectively reduced.SOLUTION: In a cross head type Diesel engine, a cross head bearing has an oil supply port 8b that reciprocatively moves integrally with a piston while slidably contacting with a guide, and that supplies lubricant to a slide contact surface 8a between itself and the guide. On the slide contact surface 8a, recess parts 8c formed by dimples are provided at least in a peripheral area 8d of the oil supply port 8b. A formation density of the dimple 8c is set within 0.1-0.45, and a ratio of a depth to a width of an opening of the dimple is set within 0.01-0.03.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
