PURPOSE: To permit the adjustment of the angle of inclination of rolls during rolling by rotatably supporting cradles housed therein with the rolling rolls by receiving rollers, clamping the same by means of jacks and cylinders and adjusting the rolling reduction via a rotating mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of the cradles 1 facing each other with a material pass line L in-between are rotatably supported by the receiving rollers 2 and are housed therein with the rolling rolls 4. The screw jacks 6 and hydraulic cylinders 7 are pressed to receiving projections 8 in the side part of the cradles 1. The rotating mechanism consisting of a stationary plate 9, inside and outside rings 14, 15 and a movable plate 16 is provided to the screw jack 10 side for rolling reduction. The angle θ of inclination can be changed when the cradles 1 are clamped and operated in opposite directions by ejecting the jacks 6 and the cylinders 7 according to the above-mentioned constitution. Since the rolling reduction adjustment is executed by the rotating mechanism, the angle of inclination is adjustable during rolling.
