Abstract:
To provide a top end protection construction of a permeable check dam with a simple structure, absorbing collision energy of gravels colliding on a top end part and preventing breakage and loss of a permeable check dam body, and easily incorporated in the permeable check dam body.SOLUTION: A top end protection construction 20 has: a plurality of longitudinal protective steel pipes 21 horizontally arranged in the flow direction of a river; a plurality of lateral connection members 23 horizontally arranged in the transverse direction of the river, crossing the longitudinal protective steel pipes 21 and connected thereto; engagement members 26 fixed to front ends of the longitudinal protective steel pipes 21 and extending downward; and displacement preventing members 28 fixed to the downstream side end face of a lower end part of the engagement members 26 and suppressing lateral movement of the top end protection construction 20. The top end protection construction is placed on top part horizontal transverse members 15 of the upstream side of a top end part 14 in a permeable check dam, and on top part horizontal transverse members 16 of the downstream side via buffer rubber pieces 33 for placing, and incorporated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
