PURPOSE: To immediately move a cursor to a target position even during the cursor operation of a keyboard by automatically setting a cursor position to the center part of a pointing area corresponding to information from a cursor tab information storage part and cursor input information.

CONSTITUTION: A pointing information storage part 11 stores the pointing area defined by programming for the unit of a picture. A pointing position output part 12 stores a pointing coordinate at the time of on-line pointing with a touch panel 4 or a keyboard 2. A cursor tab information storage part 13 stores coordinates in respective (x) axis and (y) axis directions generated by an automatic cursor tab set means 14. The automatic tab set means 14 automatically decides the next set point from the information stored in the cursor tab information storage part 13 and a cursor tab operation 2C. A cursor tab information generating means 15 generates a tab moving order to the central coordinate to the pointing area.
