Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply, efficiently conduct a removing operation of slag stored on a molten metal surface by preventing discharge of slag from a tapping hole formed at a body of a lower position from an upper side of a container by a disturbing member, and forming a slag output window at the body at a different position in a direction from the hole. SOLUTION: When aluminum materials suitably cut in small size are introduced into the crucible 1 and heated, the materials are melted from blow. A tapping hole 2 is provided at an intermediate position of a suitable height of a body of the crucible 1. When an amount of certain degree of molten metal is stored in the crucible 1, the metal is overflowed from the hole 2 to a combustion chamber 6. A baffle plate 3 is arranged at an inner surface side of the hole 2 so that the hole 2 is not blocked by the material introduced into the crucible 1. When much slag is stored on a surface of the metal in the crucible 1, a door of a side of a furnace body 5 is opened to open an operating port 10, and the slag on the surface of the metal is discharged via a slag output window 4 spatially connected to the port 10.
