To provide a crucible support where the risk that a crucible is broken and a molten metal is scattered is evaded by fixing the crucible into the support without holding the edges of the crucible or the like, and further, when the crucible is inclined by a stopper, the falling off of the crucible is prevented.
The crucible support is a scissors type crucible support which is used when a crucible 5 is conveyed or inclined and is freely rotatable so as to be a cross shape via two arms 4a, 4b as fulcrums, and in which, at the inside of one edge part of either arm 4a, a basket 1 to be charged with the crucible 5 is arranged from the center of the basket 1 to the upper part thereof, at the inside or outside of one edge part of the other arm 4b, a stopper 2 is arranged so as to prevent the falling off of the crucible 5 upon its inclination, and the basket 1 and the stopper 2, or the basket 1 and the inside of one edge part of the other arm 4b are directly contacted.
