To provide a crushed sand production device where crushed matter crushed by a crusher is sieved to produce crushed sand and by which the coarse grain rate of the crushed sand to be recovered is made an aimed value, and a crushed sand production method.

The crushed sand production device is provided with: a crusher 104 of crushing fed crushed stone; a first sieve member 106 of sieving the crushed matter crushed by the crusher 104 into coarse grains and fine grains smaller than the coarse grains; a recharging means of recharging the coarse grains classified by the first sieve member 106 to the crusher; a second sieve member 112 of sieving the fine grains classified by the first sieve member 106 into the first fine grains and the second fine grains smaller than the first fine grains; a measuring means of measuring the weight ratio between the first fine grains and the second fine grains sieved by the second sieve member 112; a hydromixer 118 of recovering the first fine grains and the second fine grains sieved by the second sieve member 112; and a control part 120 of controlling the properties of the fine grains entering the second sieve member 112 in such a manner that the coarse grain rate of the crushed sand in the hydromixer 118 lies within a previously set range on the basis of the weight ratio measured by the measuring means.
