PURPOSE: To crush a large quantity of scrapped rubber at a low cost by a device wherein the scrapped rubber can be crushed easily and efficiently, the scrapped rubber can be desulfurized by heating in a crushing process, and the crushing and the desulfurization are performed simultaneously.

CONSTITUTION: A crushing and desulfurizing device of scrapped rubber comprises a scrapped rubber supply means 1, a heat and crush means 2 for heating and crushing the scrapped rubber to be sent from the supply means 1, and a microwave heat means for applying microwave to the scrapped rubber. The heat and crush means 2 comprises a first crushing member 9 and a second crushing member 7 which approach each other and rotate relatively. Between the first crushing member 9 and the second crushing member 7, a frictionally crushing gap 3 is provided for crushing the scrapped rubber by rubbing. The scrapped rubber to be supplied from the supply means 1 is rubbed at the frictionally crushing gap 3, heated by frictional heat, and crushed in a desulfurized state. Thus, at crushing, the rubber is desulfurized by the frictional heat and desulfurized simultaneously with the crushing.
