To provide a crushing device for electrical/electronic instruments that is simple to crush the electrical/electronic instruments and that is easy to sort the crushed instruments as well as convenient for subsequent soruce- segragated recovery, and to provide a crushing method using the same.

The crushing device for electrical/electronic instruments is provided with a water tank 1 to store water 2 inside, a hydrous explosive compound 4 hung in the stored water 2 within the water tank 1 and a wire-netting 7a for recovering the crushed instruments formed by crushing the electrical/ electronic instruments hung in the water 2 with the hydrous explosive compound 4. A cellular phone 6 as an electrical/electronic instrument is hung at the same depth as the hydrous explosive compound 4 and at a regular distance by means of a wire 5B. A plurality of the hydrous explosive compounds 4 are placed so that they can be simultaneously or sequentially initiated. The electrical/ electronic instruments may be provided with a space part around the instruments so that the explosive force created by explosion by the explosive compound may be attenuated.
