The crushing machine has a crushing unit 4 crushing a charged object material, a working space 8 for a worker formed around the crushing unit 4, a supplying unit 5 supplying the object material by charging into the crushing unit 4, a foldable sunshade 2 covering the upper parts of the crushing unit 4 and the working space 8 to block direct sunlight, a folding detection mechanism 3a detecting the folded conditions of the sunshade 2 and a controller stopping operation of the crushing unit 4 and the supplying unit 5 when folded conditions of the sunshade 2 are detected by the folding detection mechanism 3a.
