To provide a crushing separator in which treatment efficiency is improved by surely crushing a packing material of pack food housed in the packing material and separating the packing material from the content.
The crushing separator is provided with a crushing part 2 for crushing the packing material housing the content and charged from a charge port, a separating part 4 for separating the packing material housing the content which is crushed by a crushing part 2 into the packing material and the content, a packing material discharge port 11 for continuously discharging the separated packing material and a content discharge part 5 for continuously discharging the separated content. The crushing part 2 is composed of upper and lower 2 pairs of rotary gear groups 38-41 and the lower part rotary gear groups 40 and 41 are controlled to be driven at a circumferential speed higher than the circumferential speed of the upper part rotary gear groups 38 and 39 in the charge port side. The separation part 4 has a horizontal cylindrical separation chamber S having a porous bottom, a crushing and separating blade 8 rotary driven at a high speed in the separation chamber S and a plurality of square bars 12 with lead provided on a semi-cylindrical ceiling wall of the separation chamber S.
