This cooling system includes a main cryogenic refrigerating system 10, a cryogenic cooling fluid feed line 19 having a feed line outlet bonded to the thermal load and a feed line inlet bonded to a cryogenic refrigerating system, a cryogenic cooling fluid return line 21 having a return line inlet bonded to the thermal load and a return line outlet bonded to the cryogenic refrigerating system, and a bypass cooling system 30. The bypass cooling system includes furthermore isolation valves 36, 38 installed on the feed line and the return line and having respectively a closing position and an opening position, a bypass line extending between the feed line and the return line, a bypass valve 34, and cooling devices 32, 37, 46 mounted on each one of the feed line and the return line.
