Abstract:

To provide a passive cryogenic refrigerating system of very high reliability.

This cooling system 4 for supplying a low-temperature cooling fluid to a device 1 is provided with a recirculation device 2, a passive cold storage device 11 having a porous material matrix contacting directly with the low-temperature cooling fluid during passing of the low-temperature cooling fluid, the first portion 20a of a fluid communication supply line for fluid-connecting the recirculation device 2 to the passive cold storage device 11, the second portion 20b of the fluid communication supply line for fluid-connecting the passive cold storage device 11 to the device 1, and for communicating the device with the low-temperature cooling fluid, and a fluid communication return line 20c for fluid-connecting the device 1 with the recirculation device 2. The passive cold storage device 11 may be constituted of a regeneration type heat-exchanger including the porous material matrix comprising a metal wire mesh 21, metal balls 22 or ceramic balls.
