PURPOSE: To establish the crystal oscillation circuit improving the frequency stability and preventing the increase in current consumption due to temperature, by using the capacitors having different temperature characteristics for those provided at the input and output of the inverter.
CONSTITUTION: The oscillation circuit consists of the crystal oscillator 1, inverter 2, resistor 5, and capacitors 8, 9 provided at the input and output of the inverter 2. The capacitors 8, 9 have the temperature characteristics of (a), (b) as shown, respectively indicating the positive and negative temperature characteristics around normal temperatures. Thus, the temperature compensation is made along the curve (c) for the oscillation circuit to stabilize the current consumption and oscillation frequency. As the capacitors 8, 9, porcelain capacitor is used, in which trapezoid type temperature characteristics are given by adding calcium of 15∼30mol% to the barium titanate and the trapezoidal range of temperature is adjusted by the addition of strontium and zirconium.
