Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the surface area, per unit weight, of a seed crystal by reducing the particle diameter thereof, to enable an intense agitation in a state where the loss of the seed crystal is being avoided, and to remove and recover, in a high efficiency within a brief period, water quality components such as phosphorus, fluorine, etc., from treatment target water including the water quality components.SOLUTION: The crystallization system of an embodiment is furnished with: a crystallization reaction tank for inducing, by contacting treatment target water with a seed crystal, the crystallization, atop the seed crystal, of removal targets within the treatment target water; and a reservoir tank for temporarily stocking a portion of the treatment target water overflowing from the crystallization reaction tank. The same is additionally furnished with: a centrifugal separator for separating, by using a centrifugal force, the treatment target water, treated water obtained within the crystallization reaction tank, and seed crystal residues remaining respectively within the treatment target water and treated water; and a precipitation separation device for recovering the seed crystal separated by the centrifugal separator together with the respective residues within the treatment target water and treated water and, by inducing the precipitation and suspension, within the residues, of the seed crystal by using the specific gravity difference of the seed crystal within the residues from the latter, selectively extracting the seed crystal suspended within the residues.
