Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the brittleness of glass, especially foam glass as well as the mechanical strength and heat resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A crystal deposition accelerator is added to soda lime glass powder, a blowing agent is properly added and they are mixed and heat-treated to obtain crystallized glass. At this time, calcium silicate of about 1 to several ten μm size, preferably wollastonite is used as the crystal deposition accelerator and added by 0.1-10wt.% of the amt. of the soda lime glass powder. A combined body is composed of plural layers including a layer of the crystallized glass.
