To provide a cubic temperature characteristic compensation voltage generation circuit that permits ease of control across a wide band when the cubic temperature characteristic compensation voltage is controlled such that the cubic component of the oscillation frequency temperature characteristic of a crystal is compensated.
The cubic temperature characteristic compensation voltage generation circuit comprises: a cubic component signal generation device 1 for generating a signal which changes as a cubic function upon receipt of an output of a primary component signal generation device; a first amplification factor nonlinear variable amplification device 4 for amplifying a cubic component signal; a first amplification factor linear variable amplification device 5 for amplifying a primary component signal; a control device 7 for varying the amplification factor of each variable amplification device by a control signal; and an adding machine 8 for adding each output signal for outputting. The control resolution of the cubic component at a frequency axis is kept constant by increasing the amount varied by the amplification factor of the first amplification factor nonlinear variable amplification device 4 in an exponential function manner with respect to the control signal from the control device 7.
