To provide a method for culturing child seedlings of strawberry, capable of readily transplanting to main field for strawberry and hardly suffering from disease such as anthracnose.

This method for culturing child seedlings 4 and 5 from parent stub comprises extending child seedlings 4 and 5 grown from culture pot 2 in which parent stub 1 is planted to the lower direction, rooting the root part of the grown child seedlings 4 and 5 into a highly water-absorbing fiber, feeding water content and/or nutrient to the highly water-absorbing fiber, growing the child seedlings 4 and 5, separating the child seedlings 4 and 5 from the parent stub 1 when these child seedlings 4 and 5 are subjected to prescribed growing, and planting these child seedlings 4 and 5 together with these highly water-absorbing fibers to main field.
