PURPOSE: To obtain the title culture medium capable of producing mushroom simply and economically without requiring fermentation operation by blending waste sawdust after artificial culture of Lyophyllum aggregatum, etc., with an agent for promoting nutrition, adjusting the blend to a proper pH, packing into a container and sterilizing with steam.

CONSTITUTION: Waste sawdust after artificial culture of Lyophyllum aggregatum, Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus ostreatus, etc., is blended with an agent for promoting nutrition such as bran, rice bran or maize, adjusted to pH6.5-7.5, mixed with water, stirred, packed into a container such as bottle or bag and sterilized with steam to give the aimed culture medium. A fungus is inoculated in the culture medium, cultured, covered with sawdust, incorporated with water, formalin, etc., adjusted to a proper pH and the container is stored in a bag during formation of fruit body to grow mushroom.
