Abstract:
To provide a culture medium having excellent water absorption properties while making the best of the characteristics of lightweight vegetable fiber having excellent water retention such as peat-moss.
Finely ground peat-moss is held in a container main body 71, a cover 72 is placed on the container main body, which is sealed. The interior of the container main body 71 is made into a vacuum state by a vacuum pump 77. A clay mineral such as bentonite or the like is fed from a mixture packing part 78 to a mixer 76, which is driven and rotated. The objective medium in which the clay material such as bentonite or the like is packed into the inner space in the peat-moss is obtained.
