Abstract:

To provide a culture medium which is used for serum-free culture and can improve the proliferation of a cell only by the addition of limited amino acids without using a serum.

This culture medium for serum-free culture and for culturing the mammalian cell in a serum-free condition is characterized by adding nine amino acids of arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, serine, threonine, and valine to a medium. The excellent culture medium capable of greatly improving a cell proliferation effect in spite of the addition of the limited amino acids can be provided at a low cost.
